Arogya Bharati-National Seminar on Healthy Life Style (Swastha Jeevan Shaili) Mysore,Karnataka

Outcome and future planning

Arogya Bharati and department of AYUSH, Govt. Of Karnataka, jointly organized a National seminar on 'Healthy lifestyle', on 6^th and 7^th of April, 2013, at the Royal city of Karnataka- Mysore. The seminar was a great success .There were in all 240 participants including PG students . In all 17 prants were represented from all over the country, travelling from such far distances as Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, and Kerala.

The inaugural function witnessed an invigorating address by the Vice Chancellor of Mysore university Prof. K.S. Rangappa, and by the Director of AYUSH, Shri G.N. Shreekanthayya.The function was blessed by Shri Shri Maheshatmanand Swamiji, Correspondent, RIMSMysore, .Dr.Raghvendra Kulkarn ,National President,Arogya Bharati ,Dr.Sunil Ghate, National Working President,Dr.Ramesh Gautam,National GeneralSecretary,Dr.Gurubasavraj,presedent Mysore,Dr.Chandrashekhar,state secretary were prominently present at the occasion. The function was largely attended by dignitaries and  medical students from Mysore..

There was an apt and scintillating key note address by Dr. K.P.Putturaya, who is presently the HOD of Physiology in the Malayasian International Medical college at Bengaluru. The conference was addressed by  Madhusudananda swamiji, and Vijayaraj ji Maharaj also.

The scientific sessions covered a wide spectrum of subjects relating to the healthy life style. Concepts of Agni(digestive fire) in ayurveda and its importance in health and disease, Wellness and lifestyle disorders, Cow- based lifestyle, music and healthy lifestyle, spiritual dimensions of health and treatment of diseases, were the different topics covered by various main speakers. There were 10 speakers, of which three were from Modern medicine. No doubt all of them were very eloquent with good subject content to stimulate the thoughts of the audience. There were 50 paper presentations from postgraduate students and teachers on various aspects of healthy life style.

Dr.Vallabhbhai Katheriya, chairman of Gosewa Ayog, Gujrat state govt,ex.Central minister of Health and Dr.M.A.Shekhar,Prof.and Head of the dept. of  Endocrinology,Mysore medical college and research institute Mysore were chief guests of Valedictory  Function.

Dr. Gurubasavaraj, President Mysore, and Dr. Chandrashekhar, state secretary of Arogya Bharati  along with their team, did a wonderful job in every respect in organizing this seminar. The hospitality of Mysore team will be remembered for ever.

Future planning

Having conducted the national seminar, Arogya Bharati feels  its  duty to take the systematic information about this subject to the people in every walk of life. Since our thrust is to reach out to the schools and through them to the society at large it is essential to bring out simple practical applications of this knowledge in day to  day life, through the medium of small booklets, audiovisuals etc. .

*State wise seminars,

*Lectures and work  shops at schools and colleges.

*Training of Arogya Mitra to educate villagers.

Arogya Bharati is looking forward  for kind cooperation and support of our fellow country men  for this great mission to make our Motherland healthy and prosperous. Swastha Bharat- Samarth Bharat.

Fwd: ACWADAM's Training Programme

Dear Sir,

GREETINGS from ACWADAM.

This is regarding ACWADAM's training programme on groundwater, supported by ARGHYAM.

We have decided to conduct our 15 days training course on "Understanding Groundwater" from 6th to 21st January 2014. We request you to kindly depute 2 or 3 participants from your organisation for this training. Trainees need not be science graduates or engineers. However, we recommend that they understand English and or Hindi.

Please let us know of your interest in the programme at the earliest along with the details about the participants. Once we have finalised a list of trainees, we'll inform you regarding making a nominal payment of Rs.
4,000/-  for 15 days per participant by DD prior to the training. This fee, along with ARGHYAM's support will take care of the lodging, boarding and training requirements (including training material). However, participants (or the organisation they represent) will have to bear the cost of to and fro travel from their respective locations to Pune on their own.
