Children arrive at the railway stations in Mumbai escaping miseries of their home. Most of these children stay on railway platforms and streets and fall in bad hands. They invariably turn into addicts or criminals. Samatol Foundation is working towards maintaining a social balance by rehabilitating or re-uniting these children with their families, thus giving the children another chance to get nurtured by their own family and progress in society.
An important milestone in the rehabilitation of these children is the rehabilitation camp called ‘Manaparivartan Shibir’. Samatol Foundation has been conducting this camp since the past 8 years. The closing ceremony to the 18th camp will be held on Saturday, 23rd November 2013 at 06.30pm.
The Guest of Honour for this ceremony is Mr. Balkrishna Inamdar (ex Governor, Rotary Club Dombivli West).Also present will be Ravindra Chavan (MLA), Sanjay Kelkar(ex MLA), Atul Chakradeo (President, Rotary Club Dombivli West), Mandar Kulkarni (Secretary, Rotary Club Dombivli West), Sanjay Hegde(Chairman, Samatol Foundation), Vijay Jadhav (Founder, Samatol Foundation).
This programme would be a great chance to get to know the plight and experiences of the children, the emotions of the parents and the children’s future plans.
