Ambulance
service in Puri was inaugurated by Dr Prasanna Kumar Mohanti Director
operations of Sam Hospital in the presence of UBSS President Sri Prakash
Betala, Secretary Sri Mansukhlal Sethia and Co-ordinator of Rath Yatra Dr Vijay
Swai.
On the occasion
of Rath Yatra, to cater to the medical needs of pilgrims, 4 ambulances, 4
clinics, first aid centres, drinking water facilities in 16 centres, providing
security in addition to police force, cleaning the entire surroundings of the
temple for all the 5 days of Yatra was arranged. More than 2000 Karyakartas
including doctors, para medicals, from Odisha and neighboring states like
Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand have participated in these service activities.
