Various
projects run by the organization:
Swami Dayanand Netralaya:-
Proposed beds
145, presently working with 65 beds. The beneficiaries are poor tribal brothers
of naxalits affected three districts Khunti, Gumla, Simdega of Jharkhand.
During year 2014-15, out patients of 14938 were treated and 2460 eye operations
were conducted, eye check up camps are being conducted reguralely at various
places. Needy patients are being brought to Netralaya from camps for operation.
Schools:-
2340 students of
56 villages are studying here. Most of the students belong to poor families of
interior tribal areas.
Keshav Madhav Bal Ashram:-
Destitute childrens
from 35 villages are staying in the ashram, studying and getting sacraments.
Out of these, last year nineteen children were adopted by childless couples. At
present there are 133 children in the Ashram.
Distribution of warm cloths and sarees:-
During 2014-15
organisation distributed warm cloths and sarees to poor families. 1500 warm
cloths and 2300 sarees were distributed in 45 villages of 3 districts in
Jharkhand.
Gaushala:-
Milk provided by
14 cows are used in upbringing of children.
Ambulance services:-
Ambulance services
are also being provided by the organization. As per requirements patients are ferried
to Netralaya and being sent home by ambulance services after the operation.
Ambulance services are also being used for
last rites and cremations of unclaimed dead bodies.
Marriage of poor Girls:-
This year
organization arranged the marriage of 17 girls from 17 villages.
Mahila Jagriti Kendra:-
For self
dependence of women plans are made for training and awareness, so that women
can become self dependent and contribute to enhance of income of their
families. In the current year, under the scheme, women from 38 villages were
trained and encouraged to run self help groups. At present with the support of
285 SHGs 3450 families are benefitted.
Nishulk Anna Grahan:-
In current year
Netralaya served food to 99600 persons under patient, orphanage and community
programme.
