Bharatiya Kushtha Nivarak Sangh (BKNS) was established by Late Shri Sadashiv Katre in Katre Nagar of Champa District of Chatisgarh, in May 1962. Since its establishment, it has so far bagged 14 prizes in appreciation of the relentless efforts towards the noble cause of serving, the leprosy affected people. Shri. Katre, a  patient himself, resonated with the pain and suffering of other patients and firmly belived that empathizing with them is human. He set up the BKNS, personally undergoing hardship such as borrowing to have a shelter for all the patients together, even cooking for them all by himself. He travelled on a bicycle, collected rice from the nearby villages. At many places abuse, mockery and insults were hurled, but Katreji continued his efforts, drawing inspiration and guidance from late Golwalkar Guruji. His relentless efforts, despite all odds were instrumental in the setting up of the Bharatiya Kushtha Nivarak Sangh.

हिन्दू स्प्रिच्युअल एंड सर्विस फेयर-2015 का 8 अक्तूबर को जयपुर में विधिवत आगाज हो हुआ | इसका शुभारंभ राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सह सरकार्यवाह डॉ. कृष्ण गोपाल जी, व संत समाज की उपस्थिति में आर्ट ऑफ़ लिविंग के प्रणेता श्री श्री रविशंकर जी ने किया | इससे पूर्व भव्य कलश यात्रा निकाली गई, जिसमें सैंकड़ों महिलाओं ने हिस्सा लिया |

डॉ कृष्णगोपाल जी ने कहा कि हिन्दू समाज जो सेवा कार्य करता है, उसमें कोई छिपा हुआ स्वार्थ नहीं होता | जन्म से मिले संस्कारों के कारण ही हिन्दू समाज खुले मन से सभी की सेवा करता है और बदले में कोई अपेक्षा न रखते हुए अपने सेवा कार्यों को भुला देता है | उसका प्रचार भी हिन्दू नहीं करता है, अपितु समाज में सेवा करना वह अपना सौभाग्य मानता है |

उन्होंने कहा कि वीरों की धरती राजस्थान अपने सेवा कार्यों के कारण विश्व में प्रसिद्ध है | यहां के लोगों तथा संस्थाओं की ओर से बड़े-बड़े सेवा कार्य वर्तमान में चलाये जा रहे हैं |

नाटे ग्रामस्थांनी सोडविला पिण्याच्या पाण्याचा प्रश्न

चाकरमान्यांचा पुढाकार – गणेशोत्सव सत्कारणी, जलवर्धिनीचे मार्गदर्शन

रत्नागिरी : नाटे (ता. राजापूर) येथील ग्रामस्थांनी श्रमदान आणि वर्गणीतून पिण्याच्या पाण्याचा प्रश्न सोडविला आहे. मुंबईतील जलवर्धिनी प्रतिष्ठान संस्थेच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली भराडीणवाडी (मधली वाडी) येथील ग्रामस्थांनी चाकरमान्यांच्या पुढाकारातून दहा हजार लिटर क्षमतेची फेरोसिमेंटची टाकी अवघ्या तीन दिवसांत बांधून पूर्ण केली. यावर्षीचा गणेशोत्सव चाकरमान्यांनी सत्कारणी लावला.

जलवर्धिनी प्रतिष्ठानचे विश्वस्त उल्हास परांजपे पाणी साठविण्याबाबत माहिती देतात. मुंबईतील वॉटर वर्क्स असोसिएशनचे ते सदस्य असून या संस्थेतही ते पावसाचे पाणी साठविण्याच्या विविध चर्चासत्रांमध्ये मार्गदर्शन करतात. अत्यंत कमी खर्चात स्थानिक वस्तूंचा वापर करून फेरोसिमेंटची मजबूत टाक्या कशा बांधता येतात, याची प्रात्यक्षिकेही त्यांनी दाखविली. संस्थेचे एक कर्मचारी महादेव घाडी यांनी ही प्रात्यक्षिके अनेकदा पाहिली आणि आपल्या गावातही पाणी साठविण्याचा हा प्रयोग करायचे ठरविले. ती कल्पना त्यांनी गावातील मधली वाडी नवतरुण मंडळासमोर ठेवली. मंडळातील तरुणांनी ती उचलून धरली. वाडीतील २३ घरांसाठी पाणी योजना तयार करण्याचे निश्चित करण्यात आले. मंडळाचे मुंबईतील कार्यकर्ते गिरीश शिंदे तसेच इतर चाकरमानी आणि ग्रामस्थांनी त्यासाठी पुढाकार घेतला. गेल्या सहा महिन्यांपासून वर्गणी गोळा करण्याचे काम सुरू होते. दरवर्षीप्रमाणे गणेशोत्सवाला गावाला गेल्यानंतर टाकी उभारण्याचे निश्चित करण्यात आले.

It was a day full of treasure hunts and diving for pearls at the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum as robots built by students demonstrated their abilities for the regional round of the Indian Robot Olympiad which concluded on 6.9.2015.

Three-day free health camp in Bhubaneswar: Utkal Bipanna Sahayata Samiti

Utkal Bipanna Sahayata Samiti in association with the Baburao Paladhikar Prakrutika Chikischa Kendra organised a three-day free health camp here beginning from 06.09.2015. The camp, inaugurated by Rashtriya Sewa Bharati all-India joint secretary Gurusaran Prasad, is providing treatment for diseases like obesity, sciatica, skin diseases, psychiatric disorder, constipation and many more. The camp is being held under the leadership of UBSS president Prakash Betala.
